AAWC welcomes to this category any individual who works in healthcare or a healthcare related environment and/or who specializes in wound care, its education or its research. This category includes physicians, podiatrists, physical therapists, nurses, educators, researchers, dieticians, pharmacists, consultants, attorneys, healthcare assistants and other allied healthcare professionals.

Student Clinician        
Annual dues - $60.00
This category is reserved for the individual who is currently enrolled in an institution of higher learning, and is seeking a degree in a healthcare profession. Students must provide proof of student status such as a copy of the student ID card, a “welcome” letter on letterhead paper, or a copy of a current transcript.

Retired Clinician         
Annual dues - $60.00
You’ve retired, but you want to stay up to date. This category is perfect for you, with a reduced membership fee at a time when you may need it most. This group is restricted to those who have retired from a wound care or related healthcare field. Support the mission of AAWC and stay current on the latest advances in wound care through the leading journals, newsletters and email alerts.

Patient/Lay Caregiver

Take charge of your or your loved one’s care by knowing the latest educational breakthroughs and options. Proactive care is better care! This category is reserved for patients who are suffering or have suffered with a wound or a lay caregiver who is caring for a patient who is suffering or has suffered with a wound. The value of this category cannot be underestimated. Not only will members of this category receive all of the usual benefits, members have the opportunity to support the mission of AAWC, give back to the wound caring community, and enjoy an avenue through which to have a voice about wound care at the government level, without have medical background.

Clinic/Healthcare Facility      
Annual dues - $360.00
This category is reserved for wound care clinics and other healthcare facilities including but not limited to hospitals, home health agencies, independent practices, long term care centers, management/counseling centers, other not for profit healthcare organizations and outpatient programs. One contact person, usually the facility owner/director or an appointed person, maintains control over the membership account and receives benefits and important governmental and regulatory alerts to share with colleagues, patients and caregivers. This category receives all the benefits of an individual member, but also receives a free, highlighted listing in the popular “Wound Care Clinic and Facility” directory, published annually by the AAWC. Your facility is sure to be selected first for referrals and by patients with a special listing that signifies that your facility is affiliated with AAWC, receiving access to the latest education, information and news. The AAWC discount to the Symposium on Advanced Wound Care applies to the contact person, but it may be transferred to another designated clinic/facility representative.

Corporations and Manufacturers

This is a unique category of membership for corporations and manufacturers of wound care and related products, devices and/or services, including for profit consulting firms. One contact person maintains control over the membership account and receives the benefits to share with colleagues. This category receives all benefits of an individual member, but also receives a free listing and link from the AAWC website as well as opportunities for AAWC’s corporate support program, and related recognition and benefits. The AAWC discount to the Symposium on Advanced Wound Care applies to the contact person, but it may be transferred to another designated representative.
