Thank you for participating in the Pressure Ulcer Care Initiative (PUCI)!

PUCI is a compilation of recommendations from the following Pressure Ulcer Guidelines. The AAWC GD warmly thanks the 31 independent respondents who rated clinical relevance of each of the 380 recommendations in the PUCI Content Validation Survey at www.aawconline.org December 12, 2008 through February 28, 2009.

The PUCI Evidence and Content Validity Table on the next page presents PUCI content validity results and up to 5 references representing the best available evidence the AAWC GD has found for each recommendation. Content Validity Index (CVI) is the percent of respondents rating its clinical relevance as (3) “clinically relevant, needs minor revision” or (4) “clinically relevant and succinct”. Section average CVI values appear in the corresponding section heading line.

If you know of supporting Level evidence to upgrade any PUCI recommendation listed, please e-mail that recommendation and the supporting reference or reference citation to Lyn Donze (ldonze@aawconline.org) by October 15, 2009.
