Evidence suggests that approaches to treatment for chronic wounds that incorporate biofilm research, like Biofilm Based Wound Care (BWCC) can lead to significant increases in the efficacy of treatment of chronic wounds, but most traditional diagnosis and treatment methodologies overlook the importance of biofilm in wound healing.
