CONTENT CREATION

Content contributor - Release your inner reporter by developing brief stories and reports for use in various AAWC publications, including the newsletter and website, among others. The content will take the form of blogs, newsletter articles, conference reports, summaries of an AAWC Journal Club, key learnings from a clinical, research, policy or educational experience you have had. In addition, AAWC welcomes enterprise and human interest stories which may be of interest to others.

Examples:

Summary of an AAWC Journal Club you attended.
Key learnings from a recent article you read.
Top 5 take-aways you learned at recent educational event you attended (wound care or otherwise)
Compelling patient case you would like you would like to showcase.
Frequently Asked Questions on a particular wound care topic

Items to be included:

  • Title, Speaker/Author
  • Link to article, video/recording
  • Why this review or article is important? How does it help wound care?
  • 1 paragraph summary including key learnings and gaps
  • 1 – 3 take-aways you want to share with the reader that would compel them to listen to the webinar.
  • Time commitment: As determined by the time required to research, write, revise material.
  • Eligibility requirements: Proven writing skills and a willingness to collaborate with editors to adjust copy as needed. Applicants should include writing samples with the application.

Editors will be called upon to review content submitted to the AAWC for use in various publications (newsletter, blog, education proceedings). The purpose of the review is to ensure that content is accurate, complete, and representative of current best practice, research, and/or expert opinion. They will work with the AAWC’s Communications Consultant and Director of Education to assure coordination of the contributions across all AAWC platforms.

  • Time commitment: As needed to review & edit submitted content. Work will be distributed among the editors according to areas of interest and expertise.
  • Eligibility requirements: Indicate previous editing experience, especially for wound care publications.

Social Media Ambassador Everyone likes to be the one with the story. And now you can be that person for AAWC! We are looking to boost our social media presence on Facebook, Linked In, and Twitter with the help of a Social Media Ambassador. You will create real time posts during AAWC programs and events.

  • Time commitment: Brief Initial training and orientation, including how to use and host on Facebook Live, and post and share to achieve the greatest reach during AAWC events. Then periodic posting /sharing, and as much time as required for serving as host of a specific AAWC program/event.
  • Eligibility requirements: Indication of genuine interest and success in use of social media for professional purposes.
